Mariana Huesca

Communications Fellow

As a Fellow of Communication and Digital Transformation, Mariana supports content creation and implementation of marketing strategies with the objective of reaching greater audiences.

Mariana is a former consultant for the United Nations Population Fund in Mexico, where she focused on strengthening the citizenship of adolescent girls through workshops on human rights, sexual and reproductive health, violence prevention, and personal empowerment, in collaboration with the Secretariat of Social Development of the Mexican Government. While working at UNFPA Mexico, she was selected to be a part of the first Regional Youth Leadership Camp at Lima, Perú a training in leadership processes, transformation of power relations, and advocacy tools in favor of gender equality and human rights with young people of all Latin America and the Caribbean.

She was an intern for “Observatorio de Reformas Políticas en América Latina”, a project from Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas (UNAM) and Secretariat for Strengthening Democracy (SSD) at OAS and also at “Red de Politólogas - #NoSinMujeres” where she focused on social media management of institutional accounts and content creation. 

Mariana has a bachelor's in science in International Economic Relations by UAEMEX, the University of the State of Mexico.
